The Application Systems Architect is a senior technical leader responsible for designing scalable, secure, and resilient enterprise software solutions. This role focuses on architecture and solution design across multiple applications and teams, ensuring alignment with business goals, technical standards, and long-term platform strategy.
You will collaborate with engineering teams, product owners, business stakeholders, and enterprise architects to define and evolve the architecture of complex systems. You will guide development teams through architectural decisions, promote best practices, and ensure consistency across platforms.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
Architecture & Strategy
Design and document enterprise-grade software architectures that align with business objectives and IT standards.Develop strategic plans for modernizing legacy systems and migrating on-premise solutions to the Azure cloud.Establish and promote architectural best practices, design patterns, and reusable frameworks.Offer architectural oversight for distributed, message-based systems that support business operations with high transaction volumes.Cross-Team Collaboration
Partner with engineering leads, product managers, QA, and infrastructure teams to ensure architectural alignment across initiatives.Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.Provide formal and informal technical guidance to multiple teams.Technical Leadership
Evaluate and recommend technologies, frameworks, and tools to support scalable and maintainable solutions.Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, identifying opportunities for innovation.Analyze system performance and propose improvements to enhance scalability, reliability, and maintainability.Develop and maintain precise system documentation, architecture guidelines, and technical presentations.What are the requirements needed for this position?
7+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise software development2+ years of experience in a lead or architecture-focused role.Strong knowledge of enterprise application design patterns, object-oriented programming, multi-threading, and distributed systems.Proficiency with Microsoft technologies: .NET Core, C#, Entity Framework, RESTful APIs, SQL Server.Experience with Azure cloud services, including cloud migration strategies, hybrid environments, and budgeting.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to work with abstract concepts.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.is desiredWhat other skill or experience would be useful in this role?
Microsoft certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Developer Associate, Azure AI Engineer Associate) are a strong plus.Experience with Identity Server, Elasticsearch, CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps, and infrastructure-as-code.Familiarity with domain-driven design (DDD), CQRS, and secure development practices.Familiarity with AI/ML platforms such as Azure Machine Learning, OpenAI, or Cognitive Services.Experience integrating AI capabilities (e.g., natural language processing, predictive analytics, intelligent automation) into enterprise applications.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and guide technical decisions.Strong customer focus and ability to build trust with business stakeholders.Ability to manage multiple priorities and work across diverse teamsExperience designing and building scalable, high-throughput back-end systems.#AssurantProudJR

Pay Range:
$101,500.00 - $169,400.00Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
