Fiserv is looking for a talented Application Support Engineer Senior to provide technical production support, managing/troubleshooting, deploying customer care applications, and upcoming technology needs like cloud migration etc. We are committed to providing exceptional service and support to our clients. As an Application Support - Sr, you will be part of a dedicated team ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of critical business applications. This role involves diagnosing and resolving technical issues, providing guidance to end-users, and collaborating with various teams to improve application performance and reliability. In addition, diagnosing and fixing operational issues with our high-volume transaction processing applications, products, and platforms.
What you'll do:
Provide expert-level support for business applications, ensuring maximum uptime and performanceTroubleshoot and resolve complex application issues, collaborating with development teams as neededMonitor application performance and lead initiatives to improve efficiency and reliabilityDocument support activities, maintain detailed logs, and develop user guides and training materialsParticipate in an on-call rotation where you will work in a team environment as well as independently to resolve issues and triage & resolve client requests and incidentsAnalyze internal alerts coming from various monitoring tools like Splunk, Sitescope, and DynatraceAnalyze code and participate in root cause analysisWork closely with product development teams to review operational readiness of production changes, release deployments, and validationExperience you'll need to have:
3 years of experience in Cloud Technologies like Azure5+ years of experience in application support in Microsoft technologies (C#, .Net) and/or Java technologies2+ years of experience in SQL databases2+ years of experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues4+ years of an equivalent combination of educational background, related experience, and/or military experienceExperience with multi-tier architecture applicationsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve application issuesBachelor’s degree required; relevant, equivalent work experience may be substituted for degree requirementExperience that would be great to have:
Experience with Service Now for Incident, Case, Problem and Change ManagementFamiliarity with monitoring tools like Splunk, DynatraceFamiliarity with scripts using Python, Powershell, Linux/Unix Shell scripting for automating middleware maintenance.Familiarity with FTP concerts and other tools like Control-MHow you’ll work:
