**Responsibilities**
The Security Architect is responsible for developing next generation security architecture in hardware/software design.
+ Analyzes, designs, integrates and tests multiple systems in complex environments.
+ Reviews system implementations.
+ Stays abreast of emerging security architectures and solutions and tracks industry standards, trends and practical problems with deployments.
+ Incumbents possess in depth knowledge in secure systems engineering, cryptographic protocols, access control models, and secure operating systems.
+ Incumbents are gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.
+ Incumbents are still occasionally directed in several aspects of their work.
+ However more straightforward tasks are accomplished without assistance.
**Qualifications**
Education:
+ Bachelor's degree; an advanced degree is preferred.
Experience:
+ 12 years of work experience; 8 years of related experience is required.
