DuPont Electronics & Industry offers an exciting and challenging opportunity within our Advanced Circuits and Packaging business for an experienced Application Scientist located in Cheonan, Korea.

Join our advanced packaging metallization team drive application development and engage strategically with key customers for electroplating products in the semiconductor industry. Key areas include lead free solder, copper pillar, RDL, and TSV applications.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for development and execution of plating and associated processing DOEs in support of new product development / Application activities.

Develop and execute DOEs for plating and associated processes to support customer requests, ensuring high quality data generation and statistical design.

Responsible for developing and maintaining optimal equipment process flows and ensuring a high level of equipment up-time for proper customer support activity.

Direct, hands on experience with metal plating chemistries, and electro plating process technologies relevant to advanced packaging (e.g., solder bumping, Copper RDL, TSV, Damascene.).

Ensure safety at Metallization Application Lab and contribute to safety improvement initiatives.

Work closely with a mentor, supervisor, or direct senior members.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or above in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science or related fields

Excellent communication, analysis, troubleshooting and cross-functional collaboration

Fluent in both Korean and English, written and spoken

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency in DOE and statistical design methodologies; Six Sigma training

Knowledge and experience in the semiconductor industry
