We are currently seeking an Application Scientist – Pharmaceutical, who will be responsible for designing and performing method development support for pharmaceutical applications in the Generic Pharmaceutical market. This is a hands-on, in laboratory role located in Bengaluru, India.

This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Tech. Support and Global Applications and is part of the Applications team located in Bengaluru.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Work cross-functionally with R&D, Sales, Operations, and Marketing to develop HPLC/UHPLC applications to support strategic marketing efforts in the Generic Pharmaceutical industryCollaborate with colleagues in Sales and Marketing to generate and author technically sound and practical marketing literatureSupport customers via consultations as well as in lab development support, including chiral screens.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• B.Sc in Chemistry/ B.Pharm with 7 years of HPLC/UHPLC experience in analytical method development OR M.Sc. in Chemistry /M.Pharm with 5 years of HPLC/UHPLC experience in analytical method development.

• Prior experience in an analytical R&D laboratory is essential, and it is preferred to have experience in chiral method development.

• Experience developing, HPLC-UV/DAD/ELSD, UHPLC-UV, and other assays for pharmaceutical formulations (ideally also involving sample preparation).

• Thorough understanding of stationary phase characteristics and method development parameters like Mobile phase, pH, etc.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including ease with public speaking, along with interpersonal and organizational skills.

• Willing to relocate (if necessary) and willing to travel up to 30%.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Strong problem solving and analysis skills

• Ability to adapt to and handle competing departmental needs.

• Experience with sample preparation techniques such as Solid Phase Extraction (SPE).
