Job Title: Application Packaging Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Application Packaging Engineer with a strong background in Citrix, MSI, InstallShield, PowerShell, SCCM, Intune, and Active Directory to support enterprise End User Computing (EUC) environments. This role is critical in ensuring secure, efficient, and seamless application delivery across virtual and physical desktop environments.

Key Responsibilities Application Packaging & Deployment

Develop, test, and maintain MSI-based application packages using InstallShield and related tools.

Package and deploy applications using Microsoft Intune and SCCM to both physical and virtual endpoints.

Configure and manage Citrix application publishing and VDI environments (XenApp/XenDesktop).

Automate deployment tasks using PowerShell scripting for increased efficiency and reliability.

Endpoint & Policy Management

Manage Group Policy Objects (GPO) via GPMC to align with application and security policies.

Ensure seamless application deployment within Citrix environments, including XenApp and XenDesktop.

Configure and maintain Ivanti AppSense for personalized user environments and application control.

Adhere to enterprise endpoint security policies during application packaging and deployment.

Monitoring & Troubleshooting

Use SysTrack for endpoint analytics to troubleshoot and enhance application performance.

Resolve issues related to Citrix, SCCM, and Intune application deployment.

Monitor system logs and performance metrics to ensure application reliability and stability.

Collaboration & Documentation

Collaborate with EUC, Service Desk, and Security teams for smooth application rollouts.

Maintain accurate documentation of packaging standards, deployment processes, and troubleshooting guides.

Provide technical support and training to EUC and IT support teams.

Projects & Continuous Improvement

Support EUC transformation projects, including automation and modernization initiatives.

Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement using industry best practices and automation tools.

Qualifications & Experience

5+ years in application packaging, deployment, and EUC engineering roles.

Proficient in MSI packaging, InstallShield, and PowerShell scripting.

Hands-on experience with SCCM, Intune, and Citrix application publishing.

Solid knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy (GPMC), and Ivanti AppSense.

Experience with SysTrack for monitoring and troubleshooting.

Excellent troubleshooting skills for packaging and deployment issues in complex environments.

Comfortable working in fast-paced, global enterprise settings with diverse stakeholders.

Willingness to participate in on-call/after-hours support as needed.

Preferred Certifications (Optional but a Plus)

Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102)

Citrix Certified Associate – Virtualization (CCA-V)

Microsoft Certified in SCCM or Intune

ITIL Foundation Certification

Ivanti AppSense Certification
