Daily activities will include + Performing connector/cable assembly design, developing and conduct design reviews. + Customer engagement. + Maintaining project documentation _._ **Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:** + Mechanical design and development of cable routing. + Participate in and lead local and global product development programs. + Support business team, visit customer and seek opportunities for both 3M high speed electrical cables, connector systems and 3M Expanded Beam Optical (EBO). **Your Skills and Expertise** To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) + Three (3) years of mechanical design experience in a private, public, government or military environment + Minimum three (3) years of experience using 3D CAD Software (e.g. SolidWorks, Siemens NX, Pro Engineer, AutoCAD Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: + Master's degree in mechanical design experience from an accredited institution + Five (5) years of mechanical design experience in a private, public, government or military environment + Experience with high-speed electrical cable/connector designs and cable assemblies _._ + Understanding of signal integrity concepts + Ability to interface with suppliers and customers. + Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, with early morning to late evening availability for occasional global conference calls + Self-starter, highly organized, able to multitask and work independently; coupled with strong analytical ability, attention to detail will be instrumental to success Skills include… + Siemens NX CAD tool + ENOVIA Product Lifecycle Management + Language ability: English.
