Job Description: Collaborate with innovative 3Mers around the world As Application Engineer you will play a key role for providing solutions and supporting multiple customers in the division of Electrical Markets . In this role you will be able to engage with customers, support product development, work on educational programs, and serve our customers and collaborate with cross-functional areas . The impact you will make in this role + You will provide application engineering support to customers in Mexico and potentially other countries in Latin America. + Collaborate with key accounts to understand their needs and offer technical solutions. + Analyse and interpret documents, quotations, and bids. + Prepare technical reports and documentation for product homologation. + Develop technical documentation, including product specifications and user manuals. + Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in electrical products and ensure compliance with Mexican standardization and regulations. + Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions for customers. + Work with cross-functional teams to develop innovative products and solutions. + Lead product homologation processes with power utilities and industrial customers. + Travel to customer sites as required. Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, preferably Electrical Engineering. Degrees in Materials Engineering, Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics will also be considered. + Advanced English proficiency (the entire recruitment process will be conducted in English). + 0 to 5 years of experience in related jobs. Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: + Native Spanish speaker. + Knowledge of medium voltage electrical products and their applications. + Understanding of power systems architecture and design. + Ability to read and interpret single-line diagrams and electrical schematics. + Familiarity with regulations in the Mexican electrical market. + Skill in analysing bid documents and preparing technical proposals. + Competence in preparing technical documentation, including product specifications, instruction sheets, and technical datasheets. + Ability to work with key accounts and deliver exceptional customer service. + Ability to manage product homologation processes for power utilities. + Excellent communication and presentation skills. + Willingness to travel domestically and within the LATAM region.
