Application Developer RDBMS
CTG is seeking to fill an Application Developer – RDBMS opening for our client in Denver, CO. Location: Remote Duration: 12 months Duties: Design, develop, and maintain database applications across Linux, Unix, and Windows platforms. Write and optimize code using PL/SQL, T-SQL, and DB2 for LUW (Linux, Unix, Windows). Perform data modeling, query optimization, and database tuning to ensure system efficiency. Collaborate with business analysts and other developers to translate requirements into functional database solutions. Create and maintain technical documentation for applications, processes, and database structures. Conduct unit testing and support system and user acceptance testing. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner. Ensure database applications adhere to security, performance, and reliability standards. Skills: Strong knowledge of RDBMS concepts, relational data modeling, and SQL programming. Proficiency in PL/SQL, T-SQL, and DB2 application development for LUW environments. Hands-on experience with Linux, Unix, and Windows operating systems. Solid understanding of database performance tuning and optimization techniques. Ability to design normalized and denormalized database structures. Familiarity with version control, application lifecycle management, and DevOps practices. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Experience: 5+ years of experience in application development with a focus on RDBMS. Proven experience in developing and supporting database applications using PL/SQL, T-SQL, and DB2 for LUW. Experience with database migration, integration, and performance tuning. Background in working within large-scale, complex IT environments. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). The expected base salary for this position ranges from $50.00 to $120.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
