**CTG is seeking to fill an Application Developer – Java & Web Technologies opening for our client in Topeka, KS.** **Location:** Topeka, KS **Duration:** 12 months **Duties:** + Design, develop, and support applications using the Java/JEE technology stack. + Utilize Java frameworks and languages such as Ruby or Groovy for web development. + Implement enterprise application features including transaction management, data access frameworks, and batch processing. + Apply concepts such as dependency injection, inversion of control, and aspect-oriented programming in application design. + Leverage test-driven development and functional programming practices to ensure code quality and reliability. + Integrate applications with enterprise systems and ensure smooth operation across environments. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and high-performing solutions. + Contribute to DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment. **Skills:** + Strong proficiency in Java, JEE, and related web technologies. + Experience with frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, and related data access tools. + Knowledge of Ruby, Groovy, or similar languages. + Familiarity with dependency injection, inversion of control, and aspect-oriented programming. + Experience in functional programming and test-driven development. + Hands-on knowledge of transaction management frameworks and batch processing. + Proficiency with DevOps tools and methodologies (CI/CD, automated testing, build/deployment tools). **Experience:** + Proven experience developing enterprise-level applications using Java and related frameworks. + Background in designing and implementing scalable, reliable, and secure systems. + Experience working in collaborative environments with Agile or DevOps practices. **Education:** + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
