Location: Remote Duration: 6 months Overview: Under the supervision of a senior developer/manager, the Application Developer II provides designs and specifies information systems solutions to solve basic to complex problems or enhancements. This role participates in evaluating client requirements, developing and preparing application environments, and supporting daily operations and special projects across diverse development platforms, technologies, and tools. Primary Responsibilities: Complete systems analysis, design, and development for basic to intermediate complexity applications. Support projects as an individual contributor. Assist clients in addressing issues across diverse scopes and recommend feasible solutions. Participate in overall system and integrated testing for small to medium efforts or defined phases of larger projects. Prepare test data, execute detailed test plans, and participate in debugging. Develop clear technical and functional specifications for small to medium-scope efforts. Update systems documentation and prepare charts, tables, and diagrams for problem analysis. Provide assessments, task plans, and effort estimates for assignments. Recommend new technologies, policies, or processes to improve efficiency. Consult with clients and departments on supported applications, reviewing system capabilities, procedures, and costs. Adhere to company risk, compliance, and internal control standards. Promote a diverse and inclusive environment in alignment with the M&T Bank brand. Complete other related duties and projects as assigned. Scope of Responsibilities: Works independently on small to medium-scale development efforts. Supports larger initiatives under guidance from senior staff. Interfaces with multiple teams across development, operations, and technology. Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities: None. Education and Experience Required: 3–5 years of Archer Development experience (not configuration/administration). Experience in: Archer Development Archer SaaS Development & Conversion PowerShell & SSIS Associate degree or equivalent work experience. Knowledge of the system development life cycle and application development alternatives. Experience with development tools, application support software, and hardware platforms. Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database software. Proven communication, analytical, organizational, and time management skills. Ability to learn new technical skills quickly and manage multiple tasks. Education and Experience Preferred: Basic project management skills. Completion of a Bank-approved skills development program. 1+ year in systems analysis and application development, or equivalent education/experience. Broad understanding of business unit roles within the organization. General knowledge of the Bank's application framework. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required. Salary offers are based on skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and applicable certifications. A competitive benefits package is also offered.
