Application Developer
CTG is seeking to fill an Application Developer opening for our client in Piscataway, NJ. Location: Remote Duration: 12 months Duties: Design, develop, and support enterprise-level applications using the Java/JEE technology stack. Utilize Java frameworks and additional languages such as Ruby or Groovy to build and maintain web applications. Implement transaction management, object lifecycle management, and system integrations. Apply advanced programming concepts including dependency injection, inversion of control, aspect-oriented programming, and functional programming. Follow test-driven development (TDD) practices to ensure high-quality, reliable software. Work with data access frameworks, transaction management frameworks, and batch processing tools. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure applications meet business requirements and performance standards. Apply DevOps practices and tools to streamline development, deployment, and maintenance processes. Skills: Strong proficiency in Java/JEE and web technologies. Hands-on experience with Ruby, Groovy, or similar languages. Solid understanding of enterprise application integration. Expertise in dependency injection, inversion of control, and aspect-oriented programming. Familiarity with functional programming techniques. Proficiency in data access and transaction management frameworks. Experience with batch processing systems. Knowledge of DevOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and related tools. Experience: 5+ years of application development experience with Java and enterprise web technologies. Proven track record of designing and delivering scalable, high-performing applications. Experience working with enterprise integration and transaction management frameworks. Prior experience in a DevOps-driven environment preferred. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required. The expected base salary for this position ranges from $50.00 to $120.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
