**Introduction** **Your role and responsibilities** Application Developer, IBM Corporation, Armonk, NY and various unanticipated client sites throughout the US (Up to 40% telecommuting permitted): * Manage client expectations and elicit requirements from end users. Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional and or technical specifications. * Deliver requirements, perform analysis, and evaluate downstream system, process and/or organizational impacts. * Provide subject matter expert support to internal business partners by responding to business partner inquiries. * Work closely with business partners, developers, and quality assurance analysts to ensure requirements and design. * Communicate design to all stakeholders and varying levels of the organization. * Act as the liaison between business partners, developers, and project management groups. * Work closely with business teams to strategize solutions that support long term business objectives. * Ensure IT deliverables align with business requirements with measurable results. * Collaborate with QA team to ensure testing efforts align with system deliveries and business processes. * Develop estimates for application functionality enhancements. * Create feature test strategies and environment needs. * Ensure technical solutions align with business needs, linking technical and business views of the system. Anticipate and identify opportunities for improvement. * Work to ensure high level designs including architecture requirements are accurately documented and maps to approved requirements. * Assist in developing training documentation and proactive identification of additional documentation needs. * Utilize: COBOL, JCL, SQL Developer, Teradata, DB2, IMSDB. Required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or related (employer will accept a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Master’s degree) and one (1) year of experience as an Application Developer or related. One (1) year of experience must include utilizing COBOL, JCL, SQL Developer, Teradata, DB2, IMSDB. $152859 to $194500 per year. Full time.
