Application Consultant - DevOps

**CTG is seeking to fill an Application Consultant – DevOps opening for our client in Chicago, IL.**
**Location:** Remote
**Duration:** 3 months
**Duties:**
+ Perform technical analysis of client IT environments to identify opportunities for improved efficiency using DevOps tools and methodologies in both traditional and cloud environments.
+ Prepare gap analysis documents and design proposed DevSecOps automation adoption roadmaps for development and operations lifecycles.
+ Architect DevSecOps tooling infrastructure and define interface requirements across integrated toolsets and platforms.
+ Provide mentorship to DevOps Engineers in solution design, build, test, and deployment lifecycle activities.
+ Support application performance management initiatives, including troubleshooting and optimization of infrastructure and applications.
+ Research and evaluate emerging technologies, industry practices, and market trends to contribute to solution offering development.
**Skills:**
+ Strong proficiency in DevOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
+ Expertise in containerization and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes.
+ Proficiency in monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks.
+ Hands-on experience with AWS cloud platform.
+ Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.
**Experience:**
+ 7+ years of proven experience in DevOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation.
+ Experience architecting and integrating DevSecOps tools and platforms.
+ Demonstrated background in mentoring and supporting DevOps teams.
+ Prior experience in application performance management and solution delivery.
**Education:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
+ Certifications in DevOps, Cloud, or related areas (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator) preferred.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $50.00 to $120.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
