Your ability to accelerate impact and make meaningful change for your clients is enabled by our strategic partner ecosystem and our robust technology platforms across the IBM portfolio **Your role and responsibilities** As a DevOps Engineer (3-4 years of experience), you will play a key role in implementing and supporting DevOps practices for a US-based client across hybrid environments including on-premises infrastructure, Microsoft Azure, and Amazon Web Services (AWS). You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows that support scalable, secure, and high-performing application delivery. Key responsibilities include: * Assist in analyzing existing development and operations processes to identify gaps and recommend improvements using DevOps principles and automation. * Support the setup and maintenance of DevOps pipelines and toolchains for cloud and on-prem environments. * Install, configure, and manage DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Nexus, and SonarQube. * Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate application builds, tests, packaging, deployments, and rollbacks. * Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure smooth and reliable software delivery across staging and production environments. * Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform and automation scripts for provisioning and configuration management. * Support continuous integration and testing practices aligned with quality and compliance requirements. * Follow DevOps and SDLC best practices in Agile delivery models. * Work in alignment with US business hours and ensure timely communication and coordination with stakeholders across time zones. **Required technical and professional expertise** * Has Broad technical experience of Cloud infrastructure and Platform solutions along with a strong understanding of cloud architecture of hyperscalers like (Azure, AWS and IBM) * Providing expert analysis to troubleshoot difficult technical and functional-related issues and problems across multiple Cloud technologies, with a focus on ensuring service transition is well planned and executed DevOps role like (Azure Pipeline, Azure repos & Azure DevOps tools) * Has deep knowledge of the cloud platform components, as well as understanding of architect solutions using the components, oversee solution implementations and recommend changes based on operational issues. * Enables innovation through cloud services and having breadth across technology stacks with hands on skills. Builds architectures & provides prescriptive guidance across the cloud platform's network, storage, operating systems, virtualization, database and monitoring components **Preferred technical and professional experience** * Experience with build and deploy requirements for a projects using the necessary cloud platforms and DevOps tools tools like Kubernetes, RedHat OpenShift, Terraforms, Jenkins. * Experience in writing automation using Unix Shell scripting, Nexus Repository Manager OSS. * Experience in creation and maintenance of Source code repositories/branches in Git. * Experience in continuous integration tools - Jenkins/Tekton.
