APP - Hepatology, Inpatient - Charlotte, NC

Highlights of this role: 

Inpatient, 7 days on/7 days off You will be a part of our dynamic, multi-disciplinary team providing excellent care to patients with a variety of liver diseases Join our team of Hepatologists, GI/liver fellow, APPs, in house transplant coordinators, transplant pharmacist, social worker and dietician working together to provide team focused patient care

What you’ll do: 

Manage patients with cirrhosis and the associated complications, as well as management of patients undergoing liver transplant evaluation and post-transplant patients admitted to the hospital Consultations, daily rounds, progress notes, H&Ps, discharges, ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing, provide patient/family education and counseling for patients with chronic liver disease/cirrhosis.

Who you are: 

Experienced APP with at least 2 years of either Gastroenterology experience, Hepatology/transplant or hospitalist medicine preferred New grads will be considered Physician Assistant – Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program required, Master’s Degree preferred. Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants preferred. Acute Care Nurse Practitioner – Master’s Degree or Doctorate of Nursing Practice required. License to practice as a Registered Nurse required. Certification in the area of practice from a nationally recognized certifying body required.  Acute Care board certification needed based upon population and acuity served. APP who can demonstrate appropriate critical thinking and interpersonal skills. APP who has the ability to prioritize and make proactive decisions.
