We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Apigee Support Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have mid to senior-level experience with Apigee, a basic understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, and hands-on experience with Postman for API testing.

This role is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and troubleshooting Apigee-based API solutions across a diverse technology stack.

Key Responsibilities:
 

Provide Level support for Apigee API Gateway, including API proxy configuration, deployment, and monitoring.

Investigate and resolve incidents related to API performance, latency, failures, and security policies.

Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to ensure API reliability and availability.

Perform root cause analysis and apply long-term fixes for recurring issues.

Use Postman to validate and troubleshoot API requests and responses.

Create and maintain support documentation, runbooks, and technical knowledge bases.

Work with the GCP environment to support services integrated with Apigee.

Support version control and continuous integration pipelines related to API delivery.

Provide recommendations for performance tuning, scalability, and system improvements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
 

Mid to Senior-level experience with Apigee (Edge or Apigee X) in production environments.

Basic understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services (IAM, networking, monitoring).

Strong proficiency with Postman for API testing and validation.

Understanding of RESTful API design and HTTP fundamentals.

Ability to troubleshoot JSON, XML, OAuth, and policy configurations within Apigee.

Experience working in a ticketing or support environment.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

3–5 years of experience in a technical support, DevOps, or API engineering role.

Nice to Have:
 

Experience with Azure cloud services.

Familiarity with ServiceNow for ITSM processes and incident tracking.

Experience using Swagger / OpenAPI specifications for documenting APIs.

Exposure to Elasticsearch for log analysis and performance monitoring.
