Come join us! ⭐ Your mission will be… Siemens is in search of a visionary and technically capable API Platform Architect to support our digital transformation strategy through strategic API ecosystem development. This role will focus on establishing a robust, secure, and innovative API framework that aligns with Siemens' technological innovation and integration goals. Responsibilities: Strategic API Governance: + Develop and implement a comprehensive API management strategy aligned with Siemens' global digital transformation objectives. + Create a holistic API governance framework ensuring consistency, security, and scalability across multiple business units and technological platforms. + Design and enforce API development standards, architectural guidelines, and best practices. Technical Leadership: + Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of API lifecycle management processes. + Establish robust API security protocols and compliance mechanisms. + Drive API portfolio rationalization and optimization strategies. + Implement advanced API monitoring and performance management systems. Organizational Enablement: + Foster a culture of API-driven innovation and collaborative technology development. + Build cross-functional partnerships to promote API adoption and standardization. + Develop comprehensive API documentation, onboarding processes, and developer enablement programs. Innovation and Continuous Improvement: + Stay ahead of emerging API technologies, architectural patterns, and industry best practices. + Continuously evaluate and implement cutting-edge API management tools and platforms. + Drive innovation through strategic API ecosystem development. We are looking for someone with… + An advanced degree or equivalent experience in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field. + Familiarity with enterprise-level API management and governance practices. + Experience leading API transformation projects or initiatives. + Solid understanding of API design, security measures, and integration methodologies. + Knowledge of contemporary API management platforms and tools. + Strategic thinking and architectural design skills. + Leadership skills and proficiency in change management. + Effective communication abilities across both technical and business domains. + Capability to influence and contribute to organizational transformation efforts. + Experience with API management platforms and strategies for monetization. + Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure. + A successful track record of implementing API strategies within large and complex organizations. + Proficiency in English, with strong written and spoken skills.
