The Role

In your role as an API Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, integrity and compliance of various items of plant and equipment.

This role is a casual position at various major Power Station outages within the Lake Macquarie and Hunter Valley, NSW region with potential for ongoing project / shutdown opportunities for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

Performing in-service inspection of pressure equipment including boilers, pressure vessel, pressure piping and storage tanks  Preparing inspection work scopes, reviewing the plant equipment history and reviewing all findings  Preparing reports for the inspections performed on plant equipment as per client requirements

The successful applicant will ideally have:

Qualifications in AICIP or API 510  Previous experience as an API Inspector Hold an industry White Card Working at Heights, and Confined Spaces (Advantage) Experience working in mining, industrial or power settings (Advantage) Previous experience within Manufacturing, Mechanical and Automotive trades (Desirable) A high attention to detail, ability to follow direction and adhere to Work Health and Safety regulations Have the ability to work effectively within a team with strong communication skills and a willingness to challenge yourself and learn Ability to pass a pre-employment medical including a drug & alcohol screening
