Apheresis Technician
Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a **Apheresis Technician** to work at a Facility in **Bethesda, MD.** These are _registry_ positions with our company. **Pay Rate:** $32 / hour *W2 **Responsibilities** + Properly identifying and label specimens. + Maintaining sanitary standards to prevent the transmission of disease. + Selecting and implementing the proper, age-appropriate collection techniques. + Ensuring that samples are properly prepared for laboratory analysis. + Sending specimens to the correct testing locations. + Updating patient records. **Qualifications** **Degree/Education:** 1. Graduation from an accredited training program resulting in certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP), Health and Human Services or American Medical Certification. 2.Possess either a degree or certificate of graduation from an approved/accredited training program. 12 months experience as an apheresis technician within the past 24 months. **Certifications in addition to Basic Life Support:** None **Experience:** Minimum of 3 years' experience. Must have either a minimum of 12 months whole blood phlebotomy experience within the preceding 24 months or have completed an apheresis training program. Must be highly skilled in phlebotomy techniques and blood product collection and labeling. **Board Certification:** None **Licensure/Registration:** None **Recommendation Letter:** Provide two letters of recommendation written within the last two (2) years attesting to the health care worker's clinical skills. A minimum of one letter must be from a supervisor. Reference letters must include name, title, and phone number, date of reference, address and signature of the individual providing the reference.
