We are currently seeking a Full-Time – Senior Network Administrator!
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Mid- to Senior Network Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of our organization's network infrastructure across multiple office locations. This is a critical role that requires a professional with a proven track record of managing and modernizing network environments. The successful candidate will be tasked with upgrading our aging on-premises hardware, including firewalls, switches, and wireless access points, optimizing network performance, and ensuring a secure and reliable network for all employees.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Modernization: Lead the planning and execution of network hardwareupgrade cycle, replacing aging firewalls, switches, and wireless access points with
modern, high-performance equipment.
FortiGate Management: Configure, manage, and monitor FortiGate firewalls toensure robust security, proper policy enforcement, and optimal performance.
Switch Management: Design, deploy, and maintain a modern switchinginfrastructure (replacing old Netgear switches), including VLAN configuration, QoS,
and spanning tree protocols.
Wired and Wireless Infrastructure: Manage and upgrade our wired and wirelessnetworks, including the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of new Wi-Fi
access points. Ensure seamless and secure wireless connectivity for all users
across all locations.
Network Performance: Proactively monitor network traƯic, identify bottlenecks,and implement solutions to ensure smooth and eƯicient data flow across all oƯice
locations.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex network issues, includingconnectivity problems, performance degradation, and security vulnerabilities.
Security: Implement and maintain network security policies, including firewallrules, VPNs, and access control lists (ACLs) to protect company data.
Documentation: Create and maintain detailed network diagrams, configurationguides, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Collaboration: Work closely with other IT team members and departments tosupport business needs and troubleshoot cross-functional issues.
Vendor Management: Interface with hardware and service vendors for support,procurement, and contract management
Required Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a Network Administrator or in asimilar role.
Demonstrated experience in hardware modernization and upgrade cycle isa MUST.
Extensive hands-on experience with FortiGate firewalls, including policyconfiguration, VPN setup, and troubleshooting.
Proven experience with modern network switching technologies andconcepts (VLANs, L2/L3 switching, Spanning Tree, Link Aggregation).
Experience with wireless network management, including access pointdeployment and configuration (e.g., Ubiquiti, Aruba, Cisco Meraki).
Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing protocols (e.g., OSPF,BGP), and network monitoring tools.
Experience in a multi-site network environment.
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in network documentation tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart).Relevant Certifications (Preferred but not required):
Fortinet NSE 4 (FortiGate Network Security Professional) or higher: Highly desirable due to the current firewall environment. Cisco CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) or CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional): Demonstrates a strong foundation in network fundamentals and advanced concepts. CompTIA Network+: A solid foundational certification.Additional Information:

Compensation: Full- Time $95,000 to $120,000 per year
