AP Specialist
Description We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing a high volume of invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payments, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. Key Responsibilities: + Process a high volume of accounts payable invoices, consistently handling 200+ invoices per week with precision and efficiency. + Accurately code and enter invoices into the accounting system, ensuring proper general ledger distribution. + Verify the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records. + Reconcile vendor statements, research and resolve discrepancies, and communicate effectively with vendors regarding payment inquiries. + Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments. + Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable. + Maintain organized and accurate vendor files and payment records. + Collaborate with various departments to ensure proper approval and documentation of invoices. + Adhere to company policies and procedures related to accounts payable. Requirements Required Qualifications: + Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or in a similar finance role. + Demonstrated ability to manage and process a high volume of invoices (200+ per week) efficiently and accurately. + Proficiency in Workday software is essential, specifically with its Accounts Payable module. + Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and accounts payable processes. + Excellent data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy. + Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. + Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. + High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
