Description Our client in Tempe, AZ, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist to join their team in a temp-to-hire position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the entire accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely payments, reconciling invoices, and maintaining vendor relationships. This position offers the opportunity to transition into a full-time role based on performance. Responsibilities: + Process invoices in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring proper coding and approvals. + Verify and reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies. + Prepare and execute payment runs including checks, ACH, and wire transfers. + Maintain detailed records of transactions and update accounting systems regularly. + Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding AP practices. + Work closely with vendors and internal departments to address payment inquiries. + Assist with month-end and year-end closings. + Ensure all AP documentation is properly organized and filed. Requirements Requirements: + Experience: 2+ years of direct Accounts Payable experience. + Education: Associate Degree in Accounting or equivalent preferred. + Software Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks OR Sage accounting software is required. + Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Excel, including advanced formulas and functions. + Personal Skills: Excellent attention to detail, organization, and multitasking abilities. Additional Requirements: + Must be able to pass a background check as part of the hiring process. + Strong written and verbal communication skills. + Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
