AP Coordinator
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented AP Coordinator to join a team on a contract basis in Arden Hills, Minnesota. In this role, you will support a business unit by ensuring accurate payment processing, maintaining inventory records, and managing product costing for various warehouse locations. The ideal candidate will collaborate with business partners to resolve discrepancies, prepare reports, and oversee internal controls in designated areas. Responsibilities: • Process and approve payments for products and transportation services accurately and efficiently. • Maintain weighted average costing for assigned warehouse locations and ensure data integrity. • Monitor and resolve daily work order processing issues within warehouse operations. • Collaborate with plant personnel and business partners to address inventory setup, cost inquiries, and corrections related to sales, receiving, freight, and credit orders. • Prepare and complete month-end inventory reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting. • Conduct research and resolve discrepancies in reconciliation items to support timely resolutions. • Generate and provide management with ad hoc reports for various warehouse locations. • Ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance standards in assigned responsibilities. • Participate in special projects aimed at improving processes and operational efficiency. *Please note that all candidates are required to provide 2 recent supervisor or manager references in order to be considered for employment. Requirements • High school diploma and at least 2 years of relevant accounting experience, or a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance as a substitute for work experience. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting systems such as Great Plains and JD Edwards. • Strong ability to learn and adapt quickly to new software and systems. • Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach. • Excellent interpersonal communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams. • Results-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and attention to detail. • Experience in inventory management, payment processing, and reconciliation tasks.
