AP/AR Coordinator
Description Job Title: Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable (AP/AR) Coordinator Job Description: Robert Half is seeking a skilled and organized Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable (AP/AR) Coordinator to join a high-performing finance team. The ideal candidate will manage day-to-day AP and AR functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions. Key Responsibilities: Accounts Payable Duties: + Accurately process vendor invoices and expense reimbursements, ensuring proper coding, approval, and documentation. + Monitor accounts to ensure timely payments and resolve any discrepancies with vendors. + Prepare and process electronic payments, ACH, and check disbursements. + Reconcile vendor statements to identify and resolve outstanding balances or missing invoices. + Maintain vendor records and ensure compliance with W-9 and 1099 reporting requirements. Accounts Receivable Duties: + Generate customer invoices and ensure timely delivery. + Monitor aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts to ensure timely collection of outstanding balances. + Post customer payments via check, electronic transfer, or credit card, and reconcile AR accounts. + Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or disputes in a professional and timely manner. + Work closely with internal teams to ensure accurate revenue recognition and reporting. Additional Responsibilities: + Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and assist with month-end and year-end closing processes. + Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and ensure compliance with accounting policies. + Collaborate with the finance team to improve processes and systems related to AP/AR workflows. + Assist with audits by providing requested documentation and maintaining organized records. Requirements Required Skills and Qualifications: + Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience). + 2+ years of experience in Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable roles preferred. + Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or other ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.). + Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. + Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities. + Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to address vendor and customer inquiries professionally. Preferred Qualifications: + Familiarity with ERP systems or large-scale accounting software. + Experience with processing 1099s and understanding compliance reporting. + Knowledge of GAAP and related financial principles.
