**Your role and responsibilities**

Own and grow revenue for AI, data, and analytics consulting services within a defined territory or industry vertical (financial services)
*
Identify and qualify opportunities by engaging with senior client stakeholders (CIO, CDO, CFO, etc.) to uncover AI and data transformation needs
*
Lead pursuit strategy and deal orchestration, partnering with delivery, solution architects, ecosystem partners (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Microsoft), and internal IBM account and offering teams
*
Shape client proposals and value stories, translating technical capabilities into business impact (e.g., operational efficiency, risk reduction, personalization)
*
Drive pipeline growth through proactive prospecting, client relationship management, and participation in events, workshops, and executive briefings
*
Maintain deep understanding of industry trends in AI/ML, data platforms, Gen AI, and responsible AI practices to guide client conversations
*
Negotiate and close complex deals, including multi-year transformation programs and co-innovation initiatives
*
Ensure smooth handoff to delivery teams, maintaining client engagement throughout the project lifecycle
Your work location of City, State was assigned based on business need and currently your role designated as a hybrid role. Hybrid roles are expected to perform their primary duties from a combination of IBM location, client sites or work at home. The required number of days to be in the office is to be determined by your management team. Any changes to this work arrangement must be preapproved by your manager before any changes are made. This Job can be performed from anywhere in the US, Kentucky, NY, NJ
**Required technical and professional expertise**
*
7-10+ years of experience in consulting services sales, business development, or solution selling, with a strong track record in data, AI, or cloud domains
*
Proven ability to close $5M-$20M+ deals in enterprise or strategic accounts
*
Deep knowledge of AI/ML technologies, data platforms, and ecosystem players (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
*
Strong business acumen and ability to map technical solutions to client business priorities
*
Experience selling into C-suite or VP-level buyers in data, technology, or operations functions
*
Comfortable navigating complex sales cycles, with experience in teaming models and consultative selling
*
Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
*
Familiarity with regulated industries, particularly financial services, is a plus
