Anthropologie is looking for a Merchandising Intern to join us for the Summer. As a merchandising intern, you will support the daily operational functions within your designated buying areas; support the buying team in managing the overall merchandise flow. You will also learn to develop the key cross functional relationships with both the market and internal partners: distribution center, design, and production to develop a holistic understanding of the product lifecycle and buying function.

The URBN 2026 Summer Internship Program will run from 6/1 through 8/7 at our Home Office in Philadelphia, PA.  

 

Summer Internship Program Application Process:

    

1. Apply to one (1) internship posting that best suits your interest & skills.  If there is a project component in the application (see below within role qualifications), it is required that you submit this to be considered for a position.  This is due at the time of your application submission.

  

2. Complete Video Interview: Candidates selected will receive an email with a link to complete a video Interview. You will have 2 days to complete this portion of the application once the email is received.   

  

3. Interviews will be scheduled with our internal teams, continuing on a rolling basis.    

  

Applications will close at 5:00pm EST on November 3rd 2025. 

Role Responsibilities

 

Reacts to merchandising strategy accordingly though the digital channel via learnings from business updatesSupports with the onsite execution of marketing initiatives including developing the timeline for seasonal product launches, strategizing the most effective use of assets onsite, and visually merchandising categories to align with key messages and investments for the seasonQA the Anthropologie and AnthroLiving sites with regular category monitoring and maintenanceCollaborate with cross functional teams to identify opportunities within categories to optimize engagement, conversion, and salesWork with multiple teams to set up & monitor sales promotionsAssist team with additional ad hoc projects as requested

 

Role Qualifications Strong understanding of the Anthropologie Home customerStrong communication & organizational skillsGood sense of urgency and ability to prioritize & multi-taskHigh taste level and strong personal styleProficiency using Microsoft Excel & PowerPointProactive personality with exceptional interpersonal skillsCapable of working cross-functionally with teams across the organization to help support the digital channelAbility to prioritize and maintain a high level of accuracy completing multiple tasks in a fast paced, dynamic environmentInterest/knowledge of home interiors, trends, and general understanding of Anthropologie brand

 

Project Requirement:

Create a concept board with 3 – 5 fashion trends you see emerging for the Free People customer in Fall 2026.

Pull imagery from blogs, Pinterest, Instagram, runway, etc. to show your point of view – merchandisers, make it into a story!We are looking for forward thinkers showing future inspirational trends that move beyond where we are currently or where we have been!
