The Artificial Intelligence group develops machine learning and computer vision algorithms for monitoring dairy and beef cows, dogs, chicken, pigs, and salmon fish and more.
We are seeking a qualified research veterinarian to join our group in development and research activities.
Responsibilities:
Providing the domain expertise of the animal science and behavior, working shoulder to shoulder with the Product Team of the species, algorithms developers, data annotation and field operations teams in to develop machine learning algorithms for animal monitoring solutions.Writing protocols for data collection and performance validation field studies. For example, defining health criteria, scoring systems, examination protocols and sample size.Responsibility for the definitions and compilation of the data collected for algorithmic models’ development. For example, determination of health condition and severity, disease progression, recovery, and characteristics of various animal behaviors.Assess algorithm performance from the animal science perspective, from individual animals to whole farms, identifying strengths and areas for improvement.Requirements:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M) degreeResearch experienceAt least 5 years of clinical practice in a bovine practiceProficiency in statistical methodsFluent English with both verbal and written communication skillsTeam player capable of working with many stakeholders in a multinational organizationStrong interpersonal skillsAdvantages:
Experience in diverse bovine production facilities and husbandry processes.Ph.D. in relevant fieldClinical experience with both dairy and beef cowsFamiliarity with data analysis and programming languages such as R or PythonMDAHTL
