Animal Research Technician (Husbandry) - Urgent

We are immediately hiring for an Animal Research Technician that will specifically be focusing on animal husbandry duties. An ideal candidate for this role will have an Associates or Bachelors Degree and at least 6+ months of animal husbandry experience working with rodents specifically (could be mice, rats, etc.).

Job DescriptionPerform husbandry tasks for study animals, including cage changes.Conduct daily checks on study animals to ensure their welfare.Collect food weight data for studies.Manage colony tasks efficiently.Oversee and perform routine maintenance.Receive and handle rodents responsibly.Monitor vivarium conditions using designated tools.Assist in daily pest control checks.Operate cage wash, autoclave, and laundry equipment.Evaluate and implement strategies for operations compliance.Document processes with strict adherence to Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).Handle rodents humanely and confidently.Qualifications:Must have at least an Associates Degree in a scientific field (Bachelors Degree preferred)Must have experience working with mice and/or rodent husbandryPay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
