What We Need:
Experienced Radio Anchor/Reporter, Midwest Region Assistant News Director
What You'll Do:
Write and report for anchor radio news, providing live breaking news and severe weather coverage. Collaborate closely with the Midwest News Director.
What You'll Need:
Exceptional writing, reading, and pronunciation skills that engage and inform the audience effectively.
- A calm and steady demeanor, particularly valuable during high-pressure situations such as breaking news events and severe weather coverage.
- Proactively assists the News Director by providing guidance and support to the team, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Strong leadership qualities paired with a consistently positive attitude, inspiring confidence and motivation among colleagues.
- A clear and pleasant voice combined with a professional delivery style and meaningful inflection that captivates listeners.
- Talented storyteller who skillfully conveys the essential facts of a story while also highlighting the human experiences behind them.
- Quick to learn and adept at utilizing new technology for radio studio operations and web posting, ensuring seamless content delivery across platforms.
