We are looking for a Analyzer Technician I to join our Analytical Services and Quality team in Geismar, LA.

As an Analyzer Technician I, you will provide preventive maintenance, repair, and support of on-line and/or laboratory analyzer/sample systems for the Geismar site to ensure optimum performance, under the direction of the Analyzer Engineer and/or Supervisor. This position is part of the Analytical Services Department which performs tasks as part of a team to ensure safe, productive, reliable, and cost-efficient maintenance of plant analyzer equipment for the Geismar site. The team supports reliability efforts, innovation, and continuous improvement. This position is a non-exempt hourly position with core working hours during the work week. Four tens and five eights are current options. After hour coverage through overtime or call-out is required.
**During your 10-hour shift as a Analyzer Technician I, you will**
+ Assist with preventative maintenance, repair, and calibration of Process and/or laboratory Analyzers in a quality manner. You will work with Analyzer Supervisor, Engineer, and Analyzer Technicians to accomplish and document routine maintenance work including preventative maintenance and regulatory inspections.
+ Assist with monitoring key performance indicators to enhance performance and reliability.
+ Assist with primary responsibility and ownership of a subset of online process and/or laboratory analyzers maintained by the Process Analyzer group. You will be responsible for maintenance, troubleshoot, repair and documentation for plant analyzer systems.
+ Support EHS in compliance with all environmental, safety, and health requirements, and promote a safe working environment.
+ Execute preventative maintenance per defined task lists and documents details of repair and calibration status in SAP and/or Labware. You will track and update assigned tasks in maintenance management system (SAP) on a daily basis..
+ Collaborate with team members to meet Team goals, improve bad actors, implement continuous improvement, and share best practices.
**If you...**
+ Hold a High School diploma, associate’s degree in analytical/instrumentation, or Bachelor degree preferred.
+ Have 1+ years of experience in analyzer roles, instrumentation, or control system preferred.
+ Possess basic understanding of process analyzers and associated analyzer sample systems.
+ Have the ability to read and update analyzer, instrument, and electrical documents such as schematics, P&IDs and one-line diagrams.
+ Are proficient in use of computers (MS Word, Excel, Access, Outlook).
