As DB's Analytics Consultant, you will be a data-driven business partner who collaborates across all business functions to translate requirements into actionable analytics use cases. You’ll lead analytics projects, develop solutions that support decision-making, and bridge the gap between business teams and technical specialists in data engineering, machine learning, and visualisation. Your strength in translating complex data into clear, accessible insights and building strong relationships will be key to driving innovation, supporting ERP system transitions, and ensuring continuity in strategic and operational reporting.
Key Accountabilities:
Partner with business stakeholders to identify and translate requirements into data and analytics use cases that drive scalable solutions. Lead and manage analytics projects, coordinating with specialists in data warehousing, engineering, machine learning, and visualisation to deliver impactful insights. Develop and communicate insights that support decision-making, ensuring complex data is translated into clear, accessible language for diverse audiences. Support digital product development by contributing to the creation of data-driven applications and tools that enhance business operations. Ensure continuity of strategic and operational reporting during ERP system migrations and infrastructure changes by maintaining critical data flows and reporting capabilities.
Your background and experience:
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a data-focused role, with strong skills in SQL, data analysis, and data visualisation. Proven ability to create user stories and collaborate effectively across technical, functional, and management teams. Exposure to SAP ECC, SAP BW, SAP Analytics Cloud, Azure, or Databricks is beneficial but not essential. Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.Must have valid work rights to work in New Zealand.
