The candidate will also provide analytical support and expertise to process and product understanding/characterization and will be responsible for generating data and preparing regulatory submissions with business partners.

The position will later transition in the Gene Therapy QC Testing team with the following scope and responsibilities:

• implementing high throughput analytical tools supporting the release and stability of multiple therapeutic gene therapy programs throughout clinical phases (from phase 1 to readiness to launch).

• Supporting the development, validation, tech transfer (to internal or external partners) and execute fast and reliable assays to support the clinical development of AAV-based Gene Therapy Products

• Supporting process development activities by executing reliable and QC friendly analytical methods (ELISA, qPCR/dPCR, Liquid chromatography).

Who you will work with

You will join a dynamic and multicultural team within the PCA group, collaborating closely with QC, research, and external partners. As you transition to the Gene Therapy QC Testing team, you will continue to work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders to ensure analytical excellence across UCB’s gene therapy pipeline.

What you will do

· Expertise in analytical techniques such as liquid chromatography and capillary electrophoresis; experience in molecular biology techniques (qPCR, dPCR, ELISA) is a plus.

· Strong lab skills and autonomy in method development/validation; ability to write and review accurate GMP/GSP documentation in English.

· Solid understanding of regulatory requirements and GMP rules; capable of managing multiple priorities and providing leadership.

· Excellent interpersonal skills and proven experience as a scientist, ideally in the biotech/pharma industry.
