Job Description
This role involves performing various laboratory tests and analyzing samples, while maintaining accurate records and adhering to strict lab standards. The lab technician will prepare samples for analysis by weighing, diluting, and mixing according to established procedures. The position requires operating analytical instruments, primarily HPLC, and conducting analytical analyses.
Responsibilities
Perform various lab tests and analyze samples.Maintain accurate records and adhere to strict lab standards.Prepare samples for analysis by weighing, diluting, and mixing according to established procedures.Operate analytical instruments, mainly HPLC.Conduct analytical analyses.Perform tests including viscosity, titration, and pH measurements.Collaborate with scientists to develop analytical methods.Perform sample preparation and reference sample preparation.Prepare sample solutions for scientists.Essential Skills
Proficiency in chemistry and laboratory practices.Quality control and analytical chemistry skills.Experience with wet chemistry techniques.Ability to conduct lab testing.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Science, with completion of General Chemistry I and II with labs.Basic understanding of lab equipment.Preferably, some lab experience outside of school.Work Environment
The lab technician will work in a laboratory setting, offering exposure to various tests and R&D projects. The position is part of a long-term contract, providing ample opportunities for learning and development.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
