Analytical Development Co-Op
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role are to:
Conduct and execute hands-on laboratory work and development activities;Develop and conduct assay, related compounds and dissolution testing of APIs and Excipients to characterize these materials; Develop and conduct testing methods for a variety of formulations, including solid dosage forms, liquids, topicals, and gummies; Conduct data analysis and interpret results in order to present within AD and to cross-functional teams;Leverage literature reviews, existing monographs and chromatography modelling programs to enable fast and efficient method development; Design and execute experimental stability studies to make quick formulation decisions; Interact regularly with all members of the formulation team and other functional groups within the Development Center.

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required Qualifications:
Masters or Doctoral student in Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences or related field;Hands-on laboratory experience, including data analysis and interpretation; Ability to work accurately and efficiently on multiple projects under tight timelines; Strong computer skills - Microsoft Office/ Excel Pivot Tables;Good communication skills;Able to commit to a 6-month assignment (January-June or June-December);Has a positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with chromatography and related instrumentation.Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately between $37.80 to $44.20. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc..
