**DCI Laboratory** , founded in 1988 as a division of Dialysis Clinic, Inc., is a full service laboratory responding specifically to the needs of dialysis patients. Our laboratory division was established in response to nephrologists’ request for personnel and instrumentation in tune with the dialysis community.
**The Analytical Chemistry Manager of Dialysis Water Testing** oversees laboratory operations responsible for analytical chemistry testing on dialysis water samples, manages personnel including chemists and other technicians, and ensures the development, validation, and implementation of analytical methods necessary for the provision of dialysis clinical services. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and technical expertise in the areas of analytical chemistry, instrumentation and regulatory compliance.
**Compensation:** Pay range minimum $70,000+; salary is negotiable and is determined by education and experience.
**Schedule:** Full-Time; five 8-hour shifts per week (Monday-Friday); shifts are 8am-5pm;Job is performed on site and does not allow for remote work.

**Responsibilities**
**Leadership & Management:**
+ Lead and manage analytical chemists and/or laboratory technicians, providing mentorship, training, and performance development.
+ Develop work schedules, assign tasks, and ensure efficient utilization of resources.
+ Foster a culture of safety, quality, service, and continuous improvement in the laboratory.
+ Promote a collaborative, patient-centered approach in all aspects of the job.
**Analytical Operations:**
+ Oversee method development, validation, and implementation of testing methods.
+ Ensure accuracy and integrity of analytical data and compliance with applicable state and federal regulations.
+ Troubleshoot complex analytical problems and provide expert technical guidance.
+ Manage workflow to assure that TAT and customer service standards are always met.
**Instrumentation & Technology:**
+ Manage and maintain advanced analytical instruments such as ICP-MS, LC-MS, and other small laboratory equipment.
+ Evaluate and implement new analytical technologies and techniques to improve efficiency and data quality.
**Compliance & Documentation:**
+ Ensure adherence to all safety and regulatory requirements.
+ Review and approve analytical reports, SOPs, and documentation for inspections, audits, and regulatory submissions.
+ Prepare and present analytical data to cross-functional teams and management.
**Strategic Planning:**
+ Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support testing and workflow optimization at both the laboratory and the dialysis clinic or external client site.
+ Manage the laboratory budget to ensure cost-effective operations without compromising on testing quality or integrity.
+ Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives within department.
+ Develop strategy for growing client base while strengthening the relationships with existing clients.

**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in chemical, environmental, physical or biological science. Master’s degree is preferred. College coursework must include at least twenty-four (24) college semester hours in chemistry.
+ Minimum 7 years in analytical chemistry with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
+ Prior experience performing water analysis on dialysis water samples.
+ Strong knowledge of analytical techniques and instrumentation including ICP-MS and LC-MS. Experience with Chromeleon software and Mass Hunter software is preferred.
+ Proven experience with method validation, regulatory compliance, and quality systems.
+ Excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills
+ Strong proficiency with MS Office applications.
+ Ability to learn and use new, emerging technologies.
