American Express Travel & Lifestyle Services (TLS) operates around the world with one goal in mind: provide a bespoke and seamless experience for our Card Members and hundreds of travel partners. As a critical component of premium card products’ value proposition, TLS offers a full range of services from trip planning and booking to enhancing the broader travel experience through proprietary programs.

The Team

The Global Partnerships and Marketing (GPM) team has a strategic focus within TLS by driving customer engagement, loyalty, and satisfaction by providing value to our card members by effective collaboration with our partners (Air, lodging and many more). We closely monitor leadership KPIs, performance of our partners and the usage of the benefits offered.

The Role

The Analyst - Product Development, will drive meaningful improvements in business value through data management, next gen reporting, proactive/ actionable insights. Closely collaborate across teams to forecast key metrics and support compliance initiatives. Strong analytical skills along with a focus to drive a deep understanding of TLS customers, TLS performance for programs, partners, and key initiatives.

How will you make an impact in this role?

Ability to understand data, synthesize into real world meaning and break down business problems. Provide bespoke analytics to help drive business development conversations with internal and external partners and help set up best in class reporting (i.e., data visualization, KPIs tracking, scorecards. Communicate analytics-based insights to partners within and beyond the GPM organization. Manage complex projects independently and work closely with stakeholders on alignment with minimal supervision. Self-starter with ability to execute with minimal direction and strong attention to details. Work with white space to design and execute analytics solutions to solve complex challenges.

Minimum Qualifications

Post-Graduation/Graduation from a top tier college. 1-3 years of experience in Data analytics. Self-starter, ability to drive insights from data, provide action steps and drive results in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Creative thinker with ability to learn quickly and navigate through unstructured problems. Ability to Integrate with Cross-Functional Business Partners Worldwide. Good Programming skills are a plus. Knowledge of SQL, Python and Visual BI (Tableau/PowerBI) is a plus. Knowledge of MS Office – PowerPoint, Excel.
