The job is based in the Amsterdam office. The Dutch team is part of CBRE’s European and global investment banking platform and collaborates on a daily basis with the wider team. The team in NL is part of the broader Capital Markets group, including Investment Properties (direct asset and portfolio transactions) and Debt & Structured Finance (project and investment financing). The CBRE Investment Banking business holds a leading position in the real estate investment banking sector in terms of number of clients, transaction activity, and market share. Our team is responsible for the origination and execution of all corporate finance activities such as M&A, equity placement, secondary trading, and capital markets transactions. The team works sector-agnostic and creates opportunities beyond traditional real estate transactions. Additionally, we provide our real estate clients with comprehensive strategic advice related to their real estate, funds, and corporate strategy. As an Analyst, you play a supportive role in execution, collaborating closely with other analysts, associates, and senior members of the team. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with clients, conducting real estate (platform) valuation analysis, preparing pitch or marketing collateral, and creating financial models. You will interact with our research team as well as specialists from the investment properties or debt teams, or other peers in the wider organisation. You will work with clients, capital providers, other advisors, and cooperate with international colleagues on projects across the spectrum of real estate investment banking activities. Joining this team means becoming part of an inclusive culture committed to success. **Key responsibilities** · Organize and prepare presentations that explain industry trends, discuss client options, and recommend strategies to help clients achieve their objectives · Create pitch documents and perform initial underwriting to support the team in winning new business · Conduct detailed real estate (platform) valuation analysis, covering DCF, trading comparables, transaction comparables, LBO analysis, and transaction structuring · Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of client transactions · Prepare presentation materials (such as books, management presentations, Board materials, and Memorandums) for equity placement mandates, M&A and strategic client discussions · Perform research and conduct analyses to support the transaction process and give strategic advice to clients **Desired technical, skills and experience** · Ability to handle pressure while multitasking on numerous projects · Strong client facing skills: you are comfortable interacting with clients in a professional and mature manner · High attention to detail, proactive, and strong time management skills. · Drive to exceed expectations · Commitment to an inclusive teamwork environment · Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to concisely communicate concepts and defend their validity · Experience in real estate, M&A, consultancy, valuations or investments is welcome · Proficiency in financial modelling · Experience: 0 to 2 years **About the team** CBRE Investment Banking is the leading provider of real estate corporate finance advisory in the private and public markets.
