Job DescriptionThe purpose of this job is to support the Pilot Safety & Security Team by assisting with the development, management and compliance for all Safety programs.
Review, develop and implement safety policies, guidelines, and standard operating procedures.Manage safety projects and oversee the development of new safety initiativesPerform division, region, and company-wide analysis of corporate and retail location related accidents and identify trends; draft weekly/monthly/quarterly reports and presentations for managementConduct injury root cause investigations and analysisParticipate in monthly conference calls to present safety reportsMaintain documentation requirements per OSHA and other regulatory requirementsAssist in the development and coordination of emergency preparedness plans for the Sales and Support Centers (SSC)Assess daily weather status and identify viable threats; communicate threats to the company’s operations management and assist in emergency calls’ tracking/follow up/reportingDevelop a calendar and knowledge base of State / Country regulatory requirements. Develop weekly/monthly safety message for Operations including safety awareness, current incident reports, and industry best practicesResponsible for maintaining department shared folders and databasesEvaluate individual required state safety programs; ensure programs are current and compliant with regulatory requirementsModel behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest levelComplete other duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Emergency Management/Occupational Health and Safety/Risk Management preferred, or a minimum of Three years’ experience in Safety related fieldBCSP (Board Certified Safety Professional) preferredOSHA 30 Certification (required)Skilled in oral and written communications.
