The Role:
This role (Finance Analyst - GM Energy) is primarily in charge of short-term and long-term financial analysis while collaborating with business partners across GM Energy Operations and Finance.
What You'll Do
Execute on planning, advising, analyzing, and presenting the GM Energy Forecast, Budget and Long-Term Plan financials
Assist in the creation of Monthly Operating Review (MOR) materials
Develop and present insights and well thought out recommendations to leaders
Develop and utilize financial modeling techniques to evaluate risks and opportunities
Solve problems and develop new methods of analysis to streamline decision making
Seek out and correct inconsistent data; find and fix root cause of inconsistencies, understand the drivers
Collaborate and coordinate information flow with other staffs and business units for optimal corporate decisions
Learn and partner with the specific business that would be supported
Present to GM Senior Management and communicate key issues for action/decision
Provide accurate, timely, and reliable reporting and controls
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
3+ years of Financial experience and/or degree
Knowledge of corporate finance principles including ability to perform income statement analysis
Advanced Excel & PowerPoint skills
Strong modeling and financial valuation skills
Familiarity with accounting principles
