Let’s define tomorrow together. **Key Responsibilities:** The Cargo Revenue Management Analyst leads and participates in development of revenue management enhancements and process improvements to optimize the $2.1 billion of annual cargo revenues through pricing, capacity, or revenue management actions. The analyst is responsible for input on the calibration of the Cargo Revenue Management System, including demand forecast overrides, capacity adjustments, adjusting booking entry conditions, and monitoring and updating various system parameters for assigned region. The position is required to manage strong internal business controls which drive regional decision making, including business guidelines and process for field sales and operations teams in the areas of pricing, capacity, or revenue management. **Revenue Management:** + Help in the development of strategies towards the optimization of cargo metrics such as revenue, pricing, inventory levels, tonnage and yield ensuring that the planning, forecasting and reporting results fit the needs of the organization. Support the development and calibration of the Cargo Revenue Management system, as well as appropriate Revenue Management system interface with United Cargo Reservation systems. + Facilitate communication between the Cargo Sales Leadership organization and Field Sales teams regarding monthly goals and objectives. + Leverage business intelligence and decision support systems to optimize cargo revenue and contribution opportunities. + Support relationships with Field Sales and Operations to facilitate communication that impact cargo revenue/contribution. + Collaborate cross departmentally in delivering optimal results through planning and execution. **Daily Oversight:** + Monitor assigned queues and ensure all pending records will be processed within expected timelines. + Provide directions on how to optimize our limited resources and flight network by rerouting or reprioritizing boarding priorities. + Work closely with other analysts and regional counterparts to execute last-minute sound business decisions under time pressure. + Understand operational constraints and policies to evaluate the risks and swiftly take preventive actions from commercial, operational and safety perspective. + Investigate the causality/ root-cause of recurring system issues and unexpected user behaviors and appropriately escalate or provide guidance to the system users **Leadership:** + Participate with the regional leadership team and field analyst teams to implement short and mid-term objectives to support United Cargo’s revenue target. + Communicate strategies to support the goals and standards for Cargo Revenue Management business processes. + Coordinate in setting goals and business approval processes between Headquarters and field analysts to ensure speed to market, including facilitating issue resolution with field sales management **Note:** This role provides a hybrid work arrangement with in-office requirements up to 50% of the time at the United Cargo Facility in Houston, TX. This role will travel up to 10% of the time. **Qualifications** **What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):** · Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics or equivalent fields · 2+ years’ professional work experience working in cross functional/cultural teams, preferably sales teams · Proven quantitative analytical & logical thinking skills · Microsoft Office products (Excel, Access, etc.) · Must be legally authorized to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship. · Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification · Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position **What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):** · Master's degree · Experience in international air/sea freight, airline, or transportation & logistics industry · Database working knowledge such as Spotfire, Business Object, SQL · Proven interpersonal skills with multi-cultural professional environment · Additional language proficiency United Airlines is an equal opportunity employer. The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
