The objective of the ICS Control Management Legal Entity Japan Market Team is to provide specialized and strategic operational risk advisory to the business on product and service areas to ensure an effective control environment exists that delivers on all operational risk obligations supporting the Legal Entity.
ICS Control Management organization is looking for an Analyst of ICS Control Management Japan Market Legal Entity focused on ensuring control management is embedded in the day-to-day operations of our business. It will involve extensive collaboration with multiple partners across numerous business units, functional areas, and geographies.
The Analyst, ICS Control Management Japan Market Legal Entity will:
Assists in specific areas of execution plans for operational risk management within the business unit (BU), including BU specific guidelines, project plans, etc. for resolution of control gaps, mitigation of risk and remediation Support the implementation of parts of the operational risk framework to enable effective risk management and decision making in the BU Help facilitate the understanding and use of the risk governance framework basics across BUs through regular communication Support functioning of Legal Entity Governance including coordinating materials, preparation of relevant committees, and documentation Support sharing insights, better practices, themes, etc. within the team, and across the Legal Entity, on operational risk Support monitoring, tracking, reporting, and training of various risk and control management activitiesRequired Qualifications:
1-2 Years experience in operational risk management (e.g., within Risk and/or Internal Audit function) Understanding of critical operational risk management lifecycle activities Project management, communication, and interpersonal skills Experience in process governance, with an understanding of processes that align with policies, regulatory frameworks, and/or operational standards Analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to analyze data, identify trends, and evaluate risk scenarios effectively Verbal and written fluency in both Japanese and EnglishPreferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Risk Mgmt., or related field; advanced degrees (e.g., MBA, MSc) or certifications are advantageous Experience in at least one of the following:o Tracking and identifying events/issues through operational risk management program
o Provide support of implementing the operational risk governance frameworks
o Supporting of creating, communicating and ensuring understanding and adherence to operational risk procedures and standards
