This position is available full-time for a fixed – term period until the beginning of September 2026, based on site in Maxim Park near Motherwell.
Grow with us – Your Responsibilities
You will carry out assay validation of new and established techniques. This will involve collaboration with colleagues across the business on validation projects, contributing to problem solving and troubleshooting
Involvement in computer system validation
This role involves performance of cell culture, reagent and media preparation and housekeeping
Virus production and virus clearance processing
Writing and reviewing documentation, including standard operating procedures
You will ensure GLP compliance is met, working with QA to address any potential issues
Ensuring the laboratory and facility are maintained to a high standard and in compliance with health and safety regulations
Equipment ownership responsibilities including maintenance, calibration and monitoring
You will also maintain stock control and ensure all required materials are available
What will convince us
HNC/HND or a degree in a relevant life scientific discipline (Biology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry) or equivalent
Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous
Previous laboratory experience in a GLP environment is desirable
Experience in cell culture, virus handling and cell imaging techniques is beneficial
Capable of thriving in a scientifically challenging environment and can bring projects to completion
Ability to contribute to scientific discussions and challenge processes
Experience in SOP, protocol and report writing is preferable
Capable of working independently and within a team
Strong analytical and organisational skills
