What is the opportunity?
As a US Securities Settlements Analyst, you will ensure the accurate and timely settlement of trades, payments, and related financial operations. Working in a dynamic environment, you will manage trade settlements, wire payments, and reconciliations for foreign trades, money market transactions, and bank loans, while performing administrative journal entries and general ledger bookkeeping tasks. You will collaborate with internal RBC teams and external counterparties, ensuring strict adherence to RBC’s Code of Conduct, values, and guiding principles, while maintaining privacy and operational efficiency.
What will you do?
Process the settlements of US Fixed Income Securities with precision and handle trade exceptions proactively.
Reconcile cash and position breaks related to settlements to ensure accurate recordkeeping and financial reporting.
Work constructively and communicate effectively with multiple business entities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Stay updated on processes and desks across the team to provide seamless back-up support when required.
Assist in managing team workflows and adjusting to volumes to maintain operational efficiency.
Ensure full compliance with policies, procedures, standards, guidelines, and operational controls to mitigate risk.
Leverage expertise in systems such as BDC, Nexen, APEX, ICI IMPACT, and RIMMS to execute daily tasks efficiently.
Provide assistance to the Manager, US Securities Settlements, with special projects or additional responsibilities as needed.
What you need to succeed?
Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with internal teams and counterparties.
Ability to work independently, think critically, and solve problems leveraging experience and knowledge.
0 – 1 year of prior relevant experience
Familiarity with internal trading, accounting, and settlement systems is preferred.
