Join MUFG, where being inspired is expected and making a meaningful impact is rewarded. **Overview of the Department/Section** The UK & Ireland Corporate Coverage team is responsible for managing corporate relationships, generating cross sell in conjunction with product teams, managing the portfolio and performing associated tasks. The team has been structured so that it provides industry focus and client coverage across key geographies. Industry coverage for this role spans General Industries, Healthcare, Consumer & Retail. **Main Purpose of the Role** To provide support to enable effective business promotion and management of existing and prospective client relationships within the UK & Ireland team **Key Responsibilities** The responsibilities involve, but are not limited to, the following: + To provide transaction and marketing support in connection with the delivery of corporate and investment banking products to meet existing and new customer needs + Preparing pitch books, account plans, briefing notes, capital committee submissions, business rationales for credit applications and internal reports; with responsibility of ensuring highest level of quality content. + Maintain and manage external relationships independently + Producing call reports and pursuing the follow-ups from those meetings + Actively liaising with local and regional teams to pursue opportunities for our clients in MUFG’s international network of 50 countries + Regular interaction with internal product offices, risk, legal and compliance departments + Liaising with and negotiating loan documentation with clients/product partners/agent banks, with guidance from the senior bankers + To lead the coordination of credit applications. Associated processes include but are not limited to liquidity applications, compliance documentation/ KYC, business rationales, return analyses and overall quality control + To diligently update client data and records on the bank systems and liaise with middle and back office to ensure this is done + This position involves management information data collection, analysis and timely reporting + To assist in the establishment of reports and general projects as they arise as directed by management + From time to time, the Analyst may be asked by management to work on initiatives relevant to the UK & Ireland Corporate Coverage business and / or projects with a wider scope when required **Work Experience** Essential: + Basic banking knowledge Preferred: + Time spent in a coverage role + Some evidence of transaction experience useful **Skills and Experience** **Functional / Technical Competencies:** Essential + Must be numerate + Good written and spoken English skills essential + Excellent relationship building and communication skills + Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) Preferred: + Understanding of credit/risk + Understanding of relevant product areas (DCM - Loans and Bonds, FX, derivatives, Trade Finance, Working Capital Solutions, Cash Management) + General / basic understanding of coverage / corporate banking **Education / Qualifications:** Essential + Degree level educated or equivalent qualifications Preferred + Relevant professional qualification **Personal Requirements** + Excellent communication skills + Strong numerical skills + Results driven, with a strong sense of accountability + A proactive, motivated approach + The ability to manage large workloads and tight deadlines + A structured, organised and logical approach to work + Strong problem-solving skills + Attention to detail and accuracy + Excellent Microsoft Office skills [Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams] We are open to considering flexible working requests in line with organisational requirements.
