Major Duties & Responsibilities:
Portfolio Management for Existing Borrowers:
Review and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in order to monitor the borrower's financial performance trends and liquidityReview quarterly compliance certificates to ensure they are being completed accurately by the borrowerCommunicate with the borrower's CFO (or similar position) to get more qualitative updates on performanceListen to annual or other interim lender update calls and ask questions, when appropriateEnsure appropriate borrower risk rating and process internal ratings upgrades/downgrades when appropriateMaintain borrower credit filesEnter borrower's quarterly financial data and covenant compliance into Baker HillPrepare internal quarterly, semi-annual and/or annual review memosPresent internal portfolio review memos to senior credit executives at semi-annual review meetingsWork with original underwriting deal team to prepare and execute all amendments/waivers for existing borrowersAssociates will typically maintain a more complex portfolio of borrower accounts, including transactions where Webster is the Agent of a syndicated bank groupNew Deal Underwritings:
Support lead underwriter on deal diligenceReview data room materials and all third party reportsBuild the projection modelHelp to prepare internal credit approval memosManage loan closing processEducation, Experience & Skills
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent related work experience1-3 years of work experience in an Accounting/Finance/Banking-related positionStrong analytical skills and proficiency with financial statementsHigh level of attention to detailAbility to work well with others and on teamsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentSuperior written and verbal communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPointOther Desired/Beneficial Qualifications:
Experience working on leveraged loan transactionsSponsor industry experience at an investment bank or other institutionGraduate of a formalized credit training programReceived or is in the process of achieving either the CFA or CPA professional certificationsMBAThe estimated salary range for this position is $80,000 USD to $95,000 USD. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
