Royal Caribbean Group’s Supply Chain Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Analyst, Senior Shoreside Inventor reporting to the Director, Global Inventory
Position Summary
The Senior Analyst, Shoreside Inventory is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring procedures and protocols regarding proper inventory control for the purpose of maintaining accurate financial information. The position is making sound decisions regarding inventory purchases and ensures that the proper inventory level is kept in all warehouse/distribution centers locations. The position leads initiatives related to monthly inventory monitoring, inventory projections and their communication.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for demand planning by providing historical data, analysis, and gathering/ presenting insight into areas of potential concern or issue for the coming fiscal/ financial periods Monitors inventory performance and analyzes and evaluates inventory plans and targets Tracks and prepares key performance metrics and benchmark items related to inventory planning and forecasting Responsible for analyzing and reporting monthly financial key controls pertaining to established targets and Sarbanes Oxley controls Responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy via cycle counting procedures and through a reconciliation process Participates in physical inventories and periodical spot checks at warehouse facility as needed Responsible for managing all documentation processing related to the request and shipment of inventory from suppliers to warehouses/distribution centers and from warehouses/distribution centers to RCCL vessels Serves as liaison between warehouse operators and Logistics/SC Procurement/Hotel Operations related to warehouse inventory management including the reduction of obsolete or slow-moving items Collaborates with business units and vendors to capture operating constraints and business requirements and develop solution options that optimize inventory across the network Provides subject matter expertise and analytical support for assigned projectsPerforms other duties as required. Financial Responsibilities:
Financial responsibilities adhere to departmental budgets targets and controls. Responsible for monitoring and tracking shoreside obsolete and excess inventory.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year College or University preferred. Four years of experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be detail oriented to ensure accuracy in analysis and presentations along with strong operational focus.
Knowledge and Skills:
Proficient in Crunchtime and JDEdwards Proficient in Microsoft Office - advanced level of knowledge of Microsoft Excel (data analysis, charts, tables & pivot tables, and functions) Excellent knowledge of computers and Internet Project management skills and experience is preferable Excellent communication skills Ability to respectively present information to senior management and public groups Ability to communicate tactfully and effectively with the management, coworkers, and customers to foresee and resolve problems and negotiate resolutions
