Job Description

The Analyst, R&D Technical Writing role is an integral part of the Sustaining R&D team, responsible for creating end-user regulatory compliant product labeling to support business requirements. This position contributes to new product development and design change activities in label design/release, artwork/image development, and process improvement for enhanced efficiency and compliance. The role involves engaging with cross-functional teams to resolve obstacles, meeting key labeling objectives, and leading continuous improvement initiatives with a significant business impact.

ResponsibilitiesResearch and build knowledge about products, services, technologies, and test methods to document them in the clearest and most logical manner for optimal reader comprehension.Drive continuous improvement and assessment of current procedures, generate quality plans, and identify best practices.Prepare for internal and external audits by gathering records, supporting backroom activities, and providing explanations for design areas developed by self to auditors.Lead recertification and other compliance projects by managing key activities with stakeholders to execute required changes and sometimes determine alternate design directions.Support the Quality Policy by integrating quality into all aspects, maintaining compliance to quality requirements, and supporting improvements for easier organizational compliance in complex areas.Deliver high-quality documentation, including SOPs, technical literature, and work instructions, ensuring continuity of content style that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for the intended audience.Maintain strong attention to detail by reviewing and auditing other technical publication deliverables and consistently delivering quality documentation without errors.Lead structured problem-solving initiatives to resolve complex technical issues and document them within appropriate quality system documentation.Execute the creation and refinement of department and quality system SOPs, work instructions, forms, and templates with considerable graphical content, adapting to changing regulations and quality systems.Provide input for creating training and communication materials to convey new or updated processes.Essential Skills2-4 years of relevant experience.Bachelor’s Degree in Graphics or Language or equivalent experience; an advanced degree may be considered towards years of experience.Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio) and Adobe Suite (InDesign, FrameMaker, Photoshop, and Illustrator).Experience using database-driven labeling systems such as Label View, Bartender Nice Label, and Easy Label.Experience in website design and testing.Additional Skills & QualificationsDemonstrated ability to manage a varied workload from internal customers and work to tight timelines.Capability to provide weekly summaries of activities, create project plans, prioritize tasks, and communicate updates effectively.Familiarity with Good Document Practices (GDP) for documentation creation and review, ensuring compliance with current training requirements.Work Environment

The work environment is dynamic, requiring collaboration with cross-functional teams using various technologies and software applications. The role involves managing multiple projects with tight deadlines and maintaining high standards for documentation quality. The attire is professional, and the work schedule may involve adapting to project timelines and audit preparations.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $33.00/hr.
