The Opportunity

MassMutual is a market-leading financial services company seeking analysts for a unique full-time developmental experience called “immerse”. This early career rotational experience, based out of the MassMutual office in Boston’s thriving Seaport district, is open to recent graduates interested in building a strong foundation across four interrelated disciplines with flexibility to pursue a range of compelling future leadership opportunities.

After two years, immerse participants should expect to transition to new roles that align with individual career goals. Pathways may include positions either within or outside of MassMutual. Past immerse graduates have attained roles in technology, asset management, venture capital, startups, management consulting, finance and graduate education.

The Team

MassMutual’s Corporate Strategy and Corporate Development groups consist of seasoned professionals from management consulting, investment banking, and professional services backgrounds with deep functional expertise. Leaders mentor analysts in an apprenticeship setting. immerse transforms enterprising graduates into confident, dynamic professionals with a strong foundation in structured thinking and problem-solving. Analysts build expertise across skill and topics readily transferable across career paths.

The Impact

Brainstorm with team members to break down complex, unstructured problems into sizeable and logical “working assertions”Structure and communicate points of view to prove or disprove working assertions, making use of best practices in competitive, industry, and consumer researchAnalyze proprietary datasets and interpret trends to uncover actionable insightsConstruct quantitative financial models to value companies and assess business plansEvaluate financial statements and synthesize macro trends to forecast business and economic conditionsBuild client relationships through interactions across the business; participate and actively capture takeaways from executive meetings and develop compelling presentation skillsBring energy into teamwork and culture; proactively highlight ways to improve the experience for yourself and other members of team; lead by example

The Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree (or attainment by June 2026)Evidence of quantitative skillset through coursework or certifications Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future sponsorship

The Ideal Qualifications

Preferred majors include Business, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Data Science or similar quantitative fieldsCompetitive cumulative GPAPast internship experience in management consulting, financial services, or related areasDemonstrated Attributes:Creative, high-energy problem solving with strong reasoning and quantitative skillsHighest standards of integrity and ability to put the team ahead of oneselfAmbition for a successful career supported by grit and determinationStrong written and oral communication skillsSolid academic achievements complemented by extracurriculars; team experiences showcasing leadership responsibilities

Salary Range: $78,000.00-$102,400.00
