Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025. The Analyst, HR Operations supports the design, enhancement, and maintenance of HR systems and processes for all employees. As part of the broader HR Operations team, this role contributes to the administration and continuous improvement of systems used by HR and its partners. The Analyst serves as a key point of contact for assigned functional areas, collaborating with business stakeholders, product managers, and technical teams to understand requirements, analyze processes, and identify system-driven improvements. This position plays a critical role in aligning business needs with technology solutions and reports to the Senior Director, HR Operations. Responsibilities + Projects/Process Improvements + Participates in end-to-end system implementation projects, including requirements gathering, design, build, testing, and deployment phases. + Supports HR process and system improvement initiatives, including large-scale deployments. + Collaborates with HR, IT, and business stakeholders to gather, prioritize, and document business and functional requirements. + Conducts fit-gap analysis and stakeholder workshops to evaluate current-state vs. future-state processes and identify improvement opportunities. + Analyzes and documents workflows, system requirements, and business processes to ensure alignment with strategic goals. + Facilitates meetings and workshops to gather input, validate solutions, and present findings. + Designs and documents solution components, including process maps, workflows, user stories, use cases, and functional specifications. + Partners with developers and technical teams to ensure clear understanding and accurate implementation of requirements. + Translates business needs into functional design documents for development teams. + Recommends system and process improvements based on best practices to optimize HR operations and enhance employee experience. + Supports and leads testing efforts including test planning, writing test cases, conducting system integration testing and user acceptance testing, and validating results. + Monitors project progress, manages risks/issues, and partners with project managers to ensure deliverables meet timelines and quality standards. + Creates user guides, training materials, and delivers training to support user adoption and change management initiatives.  + Systems Support + Serves as the operational point of contact for HR and IT on application-related matters, providing updates, gathering feedback, and addressing concerns. + Performs system administration tasks such as table updates, mass data loads, and pre/post data validations to support ongoing operations. + Supports annual and cyclical HR events and business changes through configuration, data management, and coordination efforts. + Assists in testing and implementing system upgrades and patches to Core HR systems, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. + Maintains data integrity through routine auditing, monitoring, cleansing, and validation of HR systems data. + Delivers Tier 2 support by troubleshooting user-reported system issues, meeting SLA standards, and providing training and documentation to end users. + Develops and executes standard and ad hoc reports and analyses using reporting tools to support HR operations and decision-making. + Other duties and responsibilities will be assigned as needed. Basic Requirements: + Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, Technology or equivalent relevant work experience + 2+ years of hands-on HRIS related experience + Intermediate to advanced expertise with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) Desired Characteristics: + Experience with SAP Human Capital Management (HCM) modules and/or SAP SuccessFactors talent modules + Exceptional interpersonal skills and team skills, ability to communicate well with individuals, and in group settings, ability to communicate with diverse populations and people from various backgrounds in a consultative manner + Solid written and verbal communication, ability to make presentations to various groups + Proven ability to prepare complex reports and analytics for senior leaders, auditors + Excellent analytical, critical evaluation and problem-solving skills + Solid decision-making skills and ability to use professional judgment + Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines + Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability in performing work duties + Demonstrates ability to answer questions and explain systems and processes to business partners + Highly organized and ability to balance multiple assignments of competing priorities while managing to meet forecasted target dates Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the New York, NY office a minimum of three days per week.
